Allah bestowed great favour on the Prophet Dawud (AS). He softened iron for him from which he made full length coats of mail. Allah also commanded the mountains and birds to join him in celebrating His praise.

The Children of Israel were very stubborn. They were not ready to follow any command easily. They asked Musa hundreds of questions. They even said to Musa, ‘Musa, we will not believe in you until we see Allah with our own eyes.’

The Prophet Shuayb (AS) was sent to the people of Madyan. He was the father-in-law of the Prophet Musa (AS). When Musa travelled from Egypt to Madyan, he gave him refuge and married one of his daughters to him.

“I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Book and made me a prophet. When, at the Prophet Musa’s request, Allah revealed Himself on the mountain, the mountain broke into pieces and Musa fell down unconscious.

The Quran says, ‘The Christ Jesus, son of Maryam, was only a messenger of Allah and His word, conveyed to Maryam, and a spirit from Him.’

Allah says in the Quran, ‘We made his kingdom strong, and bestowed upon him wisdom and sagacity in judgment.’

The Prophet Isa (AS) and his mother (Surah Al Imran, 3:36)

When Maryam was born, her mother ‘named her Maryam and placed her and her children in His protection from the rejected Satan.’

Two. (Surah Al Shu’ara, 26:63) When Firawn and his army, pursuing the Prophet Musa AS and his people, reached the sea, Allah bade Musa strike the sea with his staff. When he struck it, it parted and each part was like a huge mountain. Allah delivered Musa and the believers and drowned Firawn and his army.

1. C) Muhammad SAS. (Surah Al Araf, 7:157) Since the Prophet Muhammad SAS did not know how to read or write, the Quran called him by this name.

Yunus AS. (Surah Al Anbiya, 21:87) The Quran describes the Prophet Yunus AS as a righteous preacher of the message of Allah but a messenger who, unfortunately, was thrown into the ocean where a gigantic fish swallowed him. That is why the Quran called him by this name.

The Prophet Isa. (Surah Al Nisa, 4:157-158) The people of the Prophet Isa tried to crucify him. But Allah saved him.

1. A) A pair of every species. (Surah Hud, 11:40) When water gushed forth, Allah said to Nuh, “Take into the Ark a pair from every species and all the true believers.”

1. B) One hundred years. (Surah Al Baqarah, 2:259) While passing by a town the roof of which had caved in, Uzair exclaimed, “How will Allah restore it to life after its destruction?” Thereupon, Allah caused him to die and after a hundred years brought him back to life.

1. C) Muhammad. (Surah Al Duha, 93:6) The Prophet Muhammad’s father Abdullah died when he was still in his mother’s womb. And his mother died when he was only six years old. The Quran says: “Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you?”

1. C) The Prophet Musa. (Surah Al Baqarah, 2:57) Allah granted many blessings to the Children of Israel. One of them was that He sent down manna and salwa for them.

Mount Judi is located about 200 miles south of Mt. Ararat in southern Turkey. It is almost visible from the Syrian and Iraqi borders. The Tigris River flows at its base. When the water abated, the Ark of the Prophet Nuh (AS) rested on Mount Judi.

Salih (AS) said to his people: ‘This is Allah’s she-camel, a sign for you, so let her feed in Allah’s land and do not harm her in any way.’ But the people did not obey him and hamstrung the she-camel.

When the people of Thamud became rich, they became too proud and began to love things more than Allah. So, Allah sent him to warn them about the doom they would face, if they did not mend their sinful ways.

Ayyub (AS) was a great prophet of Allah. He suffered great distress but he remained grateful to Allah and never uttered even a single word of complaint against Him. Finally, Allah relieved him of his suffering.

When they threw the Prophet Ibrahim (AS) into the fire, Allah saved him. He commanded the fire: ‘O fire, be cool and a means of safety for Ibrahim.’

One day, the hoopoe appeared before the Prophet Sulayman (AS) and said, ‘… I have come to you from Sheba with reliable news. I found a woman ruling over them, who has been given everything and she has a mighty throne.’

The fact is that a man is mature by the age of 40. When the Angel Jibril brought the first revelation the Prophet was at the cave of Hira. He became very nervous and ran home and told his wife Khadija what had happened to him in the cave.
