When Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) lived in Madinah, he wanted to share the message of Islam with others. He wrote a letter to the people of Najran, inviting them to learn about Islam.

The leaders of Najran talked together and decided to send three men — Shurahbil ibn Wadaah, Abdullah ibn Shurahbil, and Jabbar ibn Faidh — to meet the Prophet and find out more.

After meeting the Prophet (peace be upon him), they talked about what they had seen. They said, “If Muhammad is truly a Prophet sent by Allah, and we say no to him, we will become the worst enemies of him and his friends.”

Abdullah and Jabbar asked Shurahbil what they should do. He said, “We should talk about peace with Prophet Muhammad. I have seen that he never asks for anything unfair or too hard for people.”

The Prophet (peace be upon him) always treated others with kindness and fairness. He only asked people to believe in Allah and to be good to others.
