A long time ago, there lived a great prophet named Musa (peace be upon him). He was strong, kind, and loved to help people. Allah had blessed him with knowledge, but one day, Prophet Musa wanted to learn even more.

He asked Allah, “Is there anyone who knows more than me?”

Allah told him, “Yes, there is a wise servant of Mine. Go to where the two seas meet, and you will find him there.”

So, Prophet Musa set off on a journey with his helper, Yusha, carrying a basket with some fish for food. Allah gave them a special sign: When the fish jumps into the sea and swims away, that is where they would find the wise man.

After walking for a long time, they stopped to rest by a rock. While they were asleep, the fish wriggled out of the basket, slipped into the water, and swam away! But they didn’t notice.

The next morning, they kept walking until Prophet Musa said, “Bring our breakfast. I am very tired!”

That’s when Yusha remembered the fish. “Oh no! The fish jumped into the sea back at the rock!”

Prophet Musa smiled. “That’s the place we are looking for!” So they turned around and went back.

There, they found a calm and kind man with a special light in his eyes. He was the wise servant of Allah.

Prophet Musa said, “May I follow you so you can teach me the wisdom Allah has given you?”

The wise man said, “You won’t be able to be patient with me. You will see things you don’t understand.”

But Prophet Musa promised, “I will be patient, and I won’t question you.”

The wise man agreed. “Then follow me, but do not ask me about anything unless I tell you first.”

And so, their journey began.

The First Surprise

They came to a boat by the river. The people kindly let them ride. But to Prophet Musa’s shock, the wise man made a hole in the boat!

“What are you doing?” Musa cried. “They helped us, and now the boat will sink!”

The wise man said, “Did I not tell you that you would not be patient?”

Prophet Musa said, “I’m sorry. I forgot. I won’t do it again.”

The Second Surprise

They walked into a village and saw a young boy. The wise man did something very strange—he ended the boy’s life.

Prophet Musa was very upset. “Why did you do that? He was innocent!”

Again, the wise man said, “Did I not tell you that you would not be patient with me?”

Prophet Musa said, “If I ask you again, then you don’t have to let me follow you.”

The Third Surprise

They entered another town where the people were not kind. Even though no one gave them food, the wise man found a broken wall and fixed it.

Prophet Musa said, “They were so rude to us. Why fix their wall for free? At least you could have asked for some food!”

The wise man replied, “This is the last time. Now I will tell you the reasons behind what I did.”

The Secret Wisdom

🌊 “The boat belonged to poor people. A cruel king was coming to take every good boat. So I made a small hole in it so the king would leave it alone. Later, they could fix it and keep their boat.”

👦 “The boy would grow up to be very bad and hurt his parents who were kind believers. Allah wanted to give them a better child instead.”

🏡 “That wall belonged to two orphan boys. Their father left treasure under it. If the wall fell, people would steal it. So I fixed it until the boys are old enough to find it.”

Prophet Musa was amazed. He realized Allah’s wisdom is much greater than we can see.

The wise man smiled and said, “I did not do any of this by myself. Allah showed me what to do.”

And with that, they parted ways, and Prophet Musa returned home—wiser, more patient, and even more thankful to Allah.
